Hunting

Syntax:

HUNT TRACK
Syntax: hunt

This command will allow you to see the tracks of those that had passed
by your position.  Peer will help greatly when you hunt, it shows either one direction or in multiple directions, like:

Syntax: peer
Syntax: peer <direction>
Syntax: peer <direction> <direction>

Peering around with no direction after it shows what is in the general
vicinity just around you, while peering in a direction shows what people
or creatures are nearby based on many factors including weather and your
character's eyesight.

You can also peer in two directions such as north-east or south-west, even
up-north and so on. The first direction you give will show as many rooms
in that direction, then the second direction will give you a diagonal look
at the rooms which can be seen in that direction.

Examples:
peer
peer north
peer north east

peer south shows:

                                   |

                                   |

                                   |

peer south east shows:

                                     |

                                      _

                                     |

                                     _

                                     |

                                     _

So peering in two directions will show you a broader spectrum of what's out there, if it's not hidden.
